Hey Maple Ridge and the LOWER MAINLAND!

The 17th annual Maple Ridge Caribbean Festival will take place August 5 and 6, 2017 at the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds. The Festival has become so large that they had to move from downtown. With over 18,000 people attending last years events, I would have to say this was a wonderful change in location.

One of the other tremendous parts of this event is that it is FREE! Admission.

This year’s concert lineup promises to be another stellar event of the lower mainland’s music festival circuit and certainly a festival high-lite for Maple Ridge. The HOTEL CALIFORNIA band will be back and play a 2 hour concert on Saturday evening!  12 year old singing sensation Laura Webb from Maple Ridge will be opening for HOTEL CALIFORNIA, so get their early! Thousands of people will attend this concert for sure!

Of course you can't have a Caribbean Festival without Reggae - Ska - Soca and Cuban Salsa performances. On Sunday the festival will feature performances by the VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir, King Fish Limbo, Phase 3 Steelband, a colourful Brazilian Samba Show by Samba Fusion before the evening finale by the crowd favourite “Mr Soca” Carl’s Soundvibes.

With 16 Bands and 2 massive stages this is an event not to be missed. Don't forget the awesome food as well!

Over 100 entertainers will showcase the music and culture of their islands.

You have children coming? No problemo....check out the KID ZONE!

Global call to love “Let’s get together and feel alright” this August long weekend to celebrate Multiculturalism with the Music and Foods of the Caribbean Islands.

Thank you Maple Ridge and thank you to all the staff and volunteer staff who put this amazing show together for all our communities in the Lower Mainland to come and enjoy this BC Long Weekend!
